MIS is pleased to offer a range of training services to meet the needs of your organization and staff members. Our trainer can provide a solution for you by customizing any session to help integrate interactive technology into your organization. This is done by evaluating the needs of the staff, establishing a baseline, and setting achievable goals. We want staff using the technology purchased from MIS on a daily basis. You will find that our training services are affordable and flexible.
Point and Click – Complimentary training is offered by MIS so staff can be introduced to the basics of newly acquired interactive technology. Training is limited to instruction in the functionality of the equipment.
Lunch & Learn – Events are hosted by MIS for the specific purpose of introducing new products or new technology. Cutting edge equipment, software solutions, updates to equipment or software you already have, and specialized product training are just some of the reasons to attend one of these events. You block out the time and lunch is on us!
Train the Trainer – Designed to teach training skills for a particular product to staff who will deliver instruction and information to others. Unique to each customer, this training is a must to integrate technology at a steady pace and help staff increase in knowledge and skill already acquired.
On-Site Training – Sessions are conducted in the comfort of your facility with our trainer using your equipment. Training can be in a lab so all staff have access to a computer or in a room equipped with technology to demonstrate. Both options would allow staff hands-on practice. The advantages of on-site training are convenience, speed, and effectiveness in helping staff members to build their skills quickly.
Mentoring – Personalized instruction in the use of interactive instructional technology. Get answers to questions, advice, hands-on support, as well as tips and tricks to make lessons better.
Customized – MIS is equipped to provide districts with discussion, analysis, and recommendations on implementing interactive technology into instructional curriculum. We can assist department chairs, instructional technology specialists, or any chosen faculty in developing a plan to facilitate interactive learning that engages students.
Workshops – Held several times throughout the year at the MIS office and provide an opportunity for staff to receive training on specific products. We seek to keep these workshops affordable and simple, covering only one topic with plenty of time to practice on equipment in our training room.
Long-term Partnerships – MIS seeks to provide assistance to organizations that are unable to employ instructional technology specialists. We work together to provide regular training on an on-going basis until staff are trained and able to continue independently.
Please feel free to contact us with any questions or comments, and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
